Photography by Jack P Koning

Here you can find a few of my photographs shot over the years. The photography is produced with minimal retouching and no modifications to the original moment the digital information was captured. Below is a couple examples of my close-up work. Typography is not only a fascination with me, but an affair I have carried on for many years now.  The below photographs are a focus on wood cut letterforms in an arrangement.

It is a goal of mine to maintain that natural realistic look of a subject. I think the success or failure of a great photograph hinges upon its composition, rather symmetrical or asymmetrical. The subject matter is important, but without a balanced composition it becomes just another photograph. The below photographs were taken in the Smoky mountains. There is a one lane road you can drive on in the summer and fall. This road follows the creek though the forest.

koning design multimedia strives to present an experience in creating an artistic composition that enhances the photographic subject matter. I  seek out unique angles and perspectives by  capturing an experience. Man-made objects, specifically automobiles, have intrigued me. I am absorbed into the play of light across the myriad of surfaces. The interplay of shapes and textures inspire me! These photographs were shot in Lafayette, IN at the event Dancing in the Streets.
